West Indies vs India Betting Odds

My cricket betting tips are up next and I’m about to tell you why India really should win this. I’ll also talk you through how we can try to get considerably better odds than the 1.4 that India are pre-match, by using live betting.

In addition to that, I’ll also give you my toss prediction and tell you who my money is on as my Hot Bet, a third bet at bigger odds than usual.

Winner: India 1.6 in Live Betting

Hot Bet: Ishan Kishan to be India top batsman 4.5

West Indies vs India Betting Winner Prediction

Recommended Bet: Back India to win @ 1.6 in Live Betting with Pure Win.

It’s been a bit of a strange Series so far that’s now 2-1 in favour of India but we’ve been right about one thing: the visitors are clearly the stronger side in just about every department.

For the Windies to win this, you’d think that they’d have to have a really good day at the office at the same time as India have a bad one.

But both happening is unlikely.

A high-scoring match could possibly work to the West Indies’ advantage but as we say below, it’s anyone’s guess as to how the pitch might play over in Florida.

So we’re going with our tried and trusted strategy of trying to back India at bigger odds in live betting.

Odds of 1.7 as in previous games may be a tad ambitious, so we’ll rather try to get 1.6 this time.

So we’re looking for a decent start for the hosts, whether with bat or ball. If India reach 1.6 in live betting, then is the time to back them.

By the way, our Pure Win review tells you all you need to know about the website we have chosen for you to bet on the winner market!

West Indies vs India Betting Hot Bet Prediction

Recommended Bet: Back Ishan Kishan to be West Indies Top Batsman @ 4.5 with Betway

We tried to back Ishan Kishan a couple of matches ago and in the end he didn’t play.

No harm done because we just got our money back but frustrating that he was available at such good odds and didn’t get a chance.

But he might get it this time round.

If Rohit Sharma is indeed injured or they want to try Kishan instead of Sky Yadav, he may well play here.

And if he does, the original rationale still stands.

As we explain in our top batsman guide, an opening batsman with a bit of class about them available at big odds isn’t so easy to find.

But Kishan is all those things and he’s too good a bet to swerve.

Remember to check our Betway review where we talk about one of India’s top betting sites in great depth, including all the advantages it has for you, the player.

West Indies Recent Form

It’s not getting any easier for Nicholas Pooran and his West Indies side.

After a good performance in the Second T20I to tie the Series, they were back to their old bad habits in the third match.

The 164 they posted may have been enough to beat some teams but not an India one, even a second-string one missing plenty of big names.

On a decent wicket in Basseterre, both Nicholas Pooran and Brandon King were guilty of scoring too slowly (both at a run a ball) and they left about 20 runs out there.

But given how easily India went about the chase, it probably wouldn’t have made much difference anyway.

Maybe spin is the way to go against India.

Hayden Walsh could be an option to come in for Jason Holder, who’s had a quiet series by his standards.

Walsh could join Akeal Hossein as a spin duo.

Hossein has been one of the few consistently good West Indies players these last few weeks and is increasingly important to the cause.

West Indies’ Likely XI

Mayers, King, Pooran, Powell, Hetmyer, Thomas, Hossein, Walsh, Drakes, Joseph, McCoy.

India Recent Form

These days India could field two or three completely different T20I or ODI sides and be competitive in all of them.

Quite who will make the 15-man squad for the upcoming Asia Cup and World Cup after that remains to be seen, but they’re going to be strong regardless.

One man who is impressing of late is Sky Yadav.

He scored a flawless 76 off 44 to mean India were never in trouble in the chase but he did so as an opener.

India have enough openers with the likes of Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan and he’s better suited to number three.

But that’s Virat Kohli’s position, isn’t it?

Back to the same discussion and Yadav is probably the better player at number three these days.

But we’ll have to wait and see what the selectors decide to do.

Hardik Pandya is having a good Series as well and will surely be their main all-rounder come the World Cup.

But it’s not all good news.

Skipper Rohit Sharma retired hurt in the last game and may miss this match, the next T20I and maybe even the Asia Cup.

They’d be silly to risk him here with little at stake.

Ishan Kishan is a natural replacement as an opener while Rishabh Pant can take over as skipper.

India’s Likely XI

Yadav, Kishan, Iyer, Pant, Pandya, Karthik, Jadeja, Ashwin, Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Avesh Khan.

West Indies vs India Head-to-Head

Despite the fact that the West Indies were a dominant force in the format for quite a few years, it’s India who are considerably ahead.

Across 22 matches there have been 15 wins for India, six for the West Indies and a no-result.

Remarkably, India have now won 13 of their last 14 against the men from the Caribbean so it’s been all India over the last few years.

Venue & conditions

We’re at Lauderhill for this one, more precisely the Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium, which is i n Florida, USA.

It’s the only international cricket stadium in the USA and there have been 12 T20I games played there.

Back in 2019 there were two matches played here between India and the West Indies and India won them both.

But these two also played each other back in 2016; one game was rained off and the other was won by the West Indies.

First innings scores have been all over the palace in matches played here.

Both India and the West Indies passed 200 with ease back in 2016 but we’ve also seen the likes of New Zealand- always strong- being bowled out for less than 100.

So maybe this is a good match in which to avoid playing the first innings runs market just because there’s too much guesswork involved.
